POLICY

 

  • Exchanges only within 14 days on new, unused, merchandise*

    Holiday Gift  Extension*
    -Skates purchased anytime before December 25th 2001 may be returned to us up until January 15th '02.

    -This extension is offered due to the volume of skate purchases this time of year that will not be opened until Christmas. 

  • No refunds.

  • Skates are to be sent back for inspection to determine whether or not they are eligible for exchange.

  • There is a $20 charge for reshipping, as skates will be shipped back to you, in either case.

(clarified- You have 14 days from the day that you receive your purchase for us to receive your return. We do not issue refunds, exchanges only.)

PROCESS
  • Eligibility for exchange needs to be determined by customer based on some general factors.

  • Evaluate your skates against our inspection requirements.

  • Correspond using contact icon. (at the left of any page)

  • Package and Ship Skates.

  • Inspection of your Return.

  • Notification of Status via Email.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
  1. New, and unused condition.

  2. Not defective.

  3. Returned within 14 days.

  4. You receive a Inspection Authorization #.

 

EVALUATION
 

You should evaluate your return beforehand, to estimate whether it will pass our inspection. If it does not pass our inspection, skates will be shipped back at your expense, a $20 charge, with no exchange provided. If it does pass our inspection, your exchange will be processed. The factors of our inspection are as follows:

 

  • Wheel Wear - Any wheel wear at all. Skates should be used only on carpeting and not on any hard surfaces.

  • Surface Marks - Any marks that are evident on the skate that are obviously created from use or misuse of the skate.

  • Missing Skate Parts - Any parts missing on the skate or included with the skate, including manuals.

  • Skate Wear - Any wear of the skate that happens from use. This includes using the liner or parts of the skate and replacing them back onto the skate.

  • Modifications - Any indication of modification of the skate or removal of parts, even if they are put back in their proper place.

  • All other Damages - Any damage to the skate done, either by intentional or unintentional handling. This includes damage in shipping, or any damage.

  • Defective Product - Any product that is deemed to be defective merchandise cannot be exchanged. Product that is percieved to be defective even if it is not used, must deal directly with the manufacturer.

  • Reserve Right - We reserve the right to reject any return on the basis of actual reasons not stated, and returned to you at the expense of $20

  • We will send you an Inspection Authorization #  to the email address you indicated. This information needs to appear on your shipping label of your return as indicated below.

PACKAGE
 
  • With skates in new, and unused condition, replace all free items and skate belongings (manuals, etc) back into box. Please put loose items or parts in small plastic bags so they do not get lost. Please also put any videos inside of each skates liner, so they will not break.

  1. Printout of the email we sent to you. (concerning your return with your Inspection number).

  2. Sales receipt   (original)

SHIP
 
  • If possible, put the skatebox inside of another box to ensure its protection.

  • On the box, or shipping label, indicate our address and the Inspection # in the address.

  • Send the skates via UPS or FEDEX only. This is available at locations such as mailboxes etc, and other shipping points. We do not accept returns sent back via US Postal Service/US Mail.

    You can call 1-800-742-5877 (UPS) and press 0 for an operator. You can give the operator your zip code and they will tell you Authorized UPS Shipping Stations in your area.

INSPECTION


When we receive the skates, we will inspect the skates to determine whether they will be able to be exchanged, or returned to the customer. We base the inspection on the factors listed in the evaluation section above. The bottom line about the inspection is:

  • We will evaluate your return.

  • If they are eligible for exchange, we will exchange. If they are not, we will return them to you.

  • Eligible or not,  a $20 reshipping charge will apply for reshipping.


NOTIFICATION

 

  • We will inspect and reship normally within several days. If you indicated an email address on your original order, and we have you in our database as such, tracking information will be sent to you via email from UPS.

DEFECTIVE SKATES

 

  • Defective Skates, whether used or unused, are not returnable.

  • Manufacturer provides warranty on skates.

    - The general rule on warranty is that most manufacturers will repair, or replace any defective component at their discretion, if they deem it to be a defect.

    -We do not guarantee the performance of warranty, but find that manufacturers in most cases do what is necessary.

  • Defective skates will not pass our inspection and will be returned to you at your expense. There is a $20 charge to reship skates to you that do not pass our inspection. Our inspection criteria is below.

PARTIAL CREDIT
 
  • You may exchange your skate purchase for any skate that we offer. If the price of the skate you are buying is less then that of your original purchase, we will refund the difference.

  • Skates must be exchanged for another pair of skates, or a combination of skates and accessories to be eligible for refund of the difference.  We do not offer partial or full refunds on accessory purchases. Store credit only for the monetary value of your return less $20.

    i.e. if you buy skates for $250, then send them back and get skates that are $150, then we will refund the difference $100, less the $20 charge indicated below.

EXCHANGE COST


Skate exchanges are subject to a $20 charge for restocking and reshipping another pair of skates.

If you return two pairs of skates, the charge is $30 for restocking and reshipping another pair of skates.

If your skate is not eligible for exchange after inspection, you will still be charged $20 and the skates you originally purchased will be returned to you.

i.e. If you send back a pair of skates valued at $250, and exchanged them for the same skate in a different size, then it would be a $20 charge.
