• while excellent for aggressive use, this skate can be used for hockey, and recreational.
  

• very lightweight skate and excellent especially for the beginning skater.
  

• durable but softer outer boot that is easier to grind with.
  

     K2 125 Family

• this family of skates consists of all k2 125s, and backyard.
  

• these skates are all lightweight.
  

• recommended for beginner aggressive skater or for multi-use.
  

• also excellent for the experienced skater who likes a lightweight skate, that is easy to break in.
  

• this skate you cannot go wrong with because it is high technology and quality, with all the benefits of higher-end with the low price.
  

• this backyard is the same as 125, except the powerstrap is narrower, and it comes in antirocker setup. (small wheels in the middle)

     Fit of backyard

• fit true to size, or small 1/2-1 full size out of the box.

• they do break in after well after use.
  

• they break in because the liner is roughly 1 inch thick and compresses well with use.
  

• the skate is forgiving in that if your foot is a little big or small in the skate it will still surround your foot properly.
  

• what this all means is that I would size up in these ways:
  
  up 1/2 normally
  up 1 if have wide feet
  if growing 1-2  sizes
