SS Opinion

All Salomons

  • Originator of the beefy shock absorber. This absorbs lots of shock and cushions your feet and knees from landings.

  • Shock absorbers on the Salomons are as thick as any. They are very high quality and do not wear down in time.

  • Salomon's liner is undisputed the best produced. Many others over time are now made as thick or or thicker in circumstances, but the quality and comfort of the salomon liner is the best.

  • We have never had a warranty issue or problem with any salomons. This is because they are made so well that they do not break.

    ST-9

  • An incredible skate we feel, same skate ultimately as the feinberg, just does not have universal frame system compatibility.

  • An incredible liner that is normally only available in salomons $299.99 skates.

  • This skate is a special buy only available at skatestop in size 8.5

  • The custom fit liner, is in the feinberg, st90, and st9. All these skates have the same fit and comfort.

  • It is no problem to size up if you are a size 6.5/7 and want growth room, or you are a size 9 and you are done growing.

  • This skate will both stretch and take up space in the case of large and small feet.

  • What we think of this skate: bombproof, best shock absorber, best liner, one of our best overall values.

  • This skate for what it is should be priced well over $200.

  • Add black graphite frames at any time. When finished, this skate is basically an st90 with a navy boot for less money. An excellent alternative to the skater who wants to have a customized skate. This skate has all the benefits of the st90 with a better price. This skate comes with excellent quality wheels that should hold up well.  Most other skates come with a company wheel that is made cheaply overseas.

    ST-9 Fit

  • You can size up in this skate without concern at least 1 size.

  • Sizing up too much is not necessary because this skate will stretch.

  • This skate will stretch so much that if you are for instance a 9.5 and you buy the 8.5,it will stretch even to that size.

  • Its very forgiving in that, in the case of a large or small size, it usually does well to fit comfortably.

  • Give that to the credit of salomon's Custom Fit liner found in the st-90, st-feinberg and st-9.

(We do have the st-9  available in cream color with a sky blue liner in size 8 only. The price for this skate is $249.99. If interested, please contact us.)

-i shave down the bottom with a bench grinder and drill ufs holes and they are just put together by the frames, the soul frames are sandwiched in
the backslide plate is bolted in though, and i just shave down the inside of that so its flush
Which soul frames/bs plates did you use?
razors
the new ones, like for the murdas and genesys
nice, so the method that you put the backslide plate is that you shaved down the area flush so it would lay right then screwed it in with the screws they come with.. I guess you predrilled it as well.
i drill holes into the bottom of the boot, that line up with the frame ufs holes
and put the bolts on that way
yea then the backslide plate you shave down the area, but do you predrill to put them on or../
no no, shave down the inside. if you look at them, the inside has a kinda, groove to fit into the razor boot. on the razor boot theres a whole. not so on the salomons, so i shave down that little groove on the inside of the backslide plate just enough so that it will fit flush with the soul plates
then just bolt them on like you would on razors
